Thank you for wanting to know a bit more about me. As you know I am an assistant professor of mathematics at Elon University. For those of you trying to figure out the two body problem in academia, we have attained the ultimate solution - as my wife, Lisa, is also a member of the math faculty here at Elon. On August 23, 2002, Lauren Paige was added to our great household. On January 7, 2005 Rachel Ann entered into our lives.

I like to play golf, read scifi/fantasy, listen to music and watch movies.
Golf
There are several golf courses that I like to play in the Elon area. The Challenge, Indian valley, Shamarock, Country Hills are the courses that I play regularly.
I also travel to Myrtle Beach for a week to play some of the great courses in that area. My favorite course in the MB area is King's North at MB National, an Arnold Palmer design. Other courses that I have played are the West and South course at MB national, Aberdeen, River Club, and Waterway Hills.
I grew up on Long Island and have played ALL five courses at Bethpage State Park many times. Yes, the Black course is hard.
My favorite course of all time is a small course in Benton, PA called Mill Race. I used to play this course with my dad every year. We made a special trip just to play the course. Now, I rarely get the chance to play this course, due to the travel distance. When I do go, I am joined by my childhood friend Eric (Who STILL can't beat me!!) This course is short, but has many water holes on the back nine. The greens are true and the fairways are plush. For less than $25 for greens fees, cart, and lunch, you can't beat the price.

Music I like to listen to
I have a very wide taste in music. My favorite band is Pink Floyd. I started to listen to them in college and ever since I have been hooked. I have been to two concerts, one at Giant Stadium (nose bleed seats) and the other at Yankee Stadium (15th row center!!)
I also like Rush, The police, Billy Joel, some AC/DC, Metallica, and (don't make fun) most 80's music.
