For the past 16 years, the math department has required all graduating seniors to participate in an extensive research seminar. We also have 3 main student organizations to which many of our majors belong. They are PME, MAA, and NCCTM. Many of our students are also studying secondary mathematics education. For the past four years Elon Mathematics students have been recognized by NCCTM as outstanding math education students. In recent years, Elon has entered several award-winning teams into the COMAP competition. Many of our math majors head to graduate schools such as Clemson, Wake Forest, Texas Tech, William & Mary, and UNC Law School.
