The Department of Mathematics at Elon University seeks applicants for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level to begin mid-August 2010. A Ph.D. in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics is required. The successful candidate will demonstrate evidence of or potential for excellent teaching of mathematics, scholarship, and an understanding of the undergraduate mathematics curriculum. The successful applicant must be willing to teach introductory level statistics as well as courses in Elon’s interdisciplinary General Studies program.
